the illustrated life

I often paint my canvasses from inspired mental imagery. I use a visual technique similar to seeing images in clouds or the psychologist’s inkblots. There are no preliminary sketches made before a work is started. This makes them a direct creation of the imagination without conscious bias or intent. The painting slowly evolves until it completes itself.
